I come here to see my shadow dance.

I come here to exaggerate my shadow

and watch it shrink as I shower it with love.

cutting a groove

that leads down into me.

My belly button pounds to escape

my comfort zone.

THUMP! THUMP!

Heart beat.

Loud fear.

Feet stomp.

Courage stalks memories.

A tight lipped hiss inhale.

Inhale fear.

A slow pressing exhale.

Exhale courage.

Tears and sweat roll down my body

melting my fear into the floor.

I dance in a puddle.

My puddle turns into pond.

Pond swells into a creek.

Creek spills into river.

Gushing hope.

Breaking dams.

Flooding my dance

with love.

Looking into my puddle

I see sunbursts.

I come here to see my shadow dance.

I come here to exaggerate my shadow

on the palm of your hand.

Look into a day lit mirror and

see the lines drawn upon your face.

like a ditch carries water.

Your path leads so you can follow.

Your path stores memory

of all those before you.

Your path connects the dots.

Imagine seeing a seed resting

in the palm of your hand.

I’m a seed perfectly shaped

to go down, down into the earth.

Even if you eat me,

I’m perfectly shaped to exit like how I entered.

I have everything I need.

I hold all memory of who I am,

where I came from,

and what I am here to do.

I emerge when the time is right.

My body knows when to emerge.

The sun guides me where to go.

The earth holds me securely.

I murmur

“Father sun I feel you.

Mother earth I rest in you.

Wind stir above me.

Rain storm around me.

I am ready to emerge.

I know my center is deeply connected
